depends on who you ask, in my opinion no not really however people who aren't from the bay take it to another level and start doing ignorant things which gives it it's "BAD" appearance. I personally love how the whole hyphy movment did it's thing but it's kind of dying down now.

no. its pretty fun once youre in the club and every1 is getting hyphy. not too cool when your hyphy by yourself

No, it's not.
Most of it is fun and silly and while the lyrics don't really have any meaning it's good for wilin' out to when you're in the club. It's just something to get you moving. I don't think music should be so serious all the time.
