Just forget about it. There is nothing you can do. The police are free to lie and do whatever they want and they will not be punished.

they'll say 'it is the officer's word against yours' and they'll choose the officer, case closed. you're especially bad off if you're a kid - kids get no credance. I saw the following happen once. Some parents got angry at their kid because he went out with his friends a lot; so, they called the police and said he attacked them and wanted him put him jail. It was complete BS, but the officer who came said 'it's parents word against the kid's word and we always choose the parents'. They locked the kid up in a pyschiatric ward for a couple weeks as a favor instead of arresting him so his problems could be addressed. He tried to explain his situation there, but no one would give him credance.

I have to wonder why an officer would wrongly accuse you and let the offender go free.

I you know who did it, you are responsible to let the law know.

It is not up to you to PROVE you are innocent; in our country you have the assumption of innoncent until PROVEN guilty by the court.

And, officers don't pick and chose or "decide" to arrest someone with no basis for it....

I don't think you are coming clean here.

if you were in a crowed place there must be some witnesses that can verify that it was not you that hit the cop, or maybe you were there with people, so you get them to testify that it was not you, that you were with them when it happened, it's called an alibi! other than that it is your work against his, and guess who the judge is going to believe?

It is essentially your word against his. In that case, the courts usually side with the cop.

You said it was crowded. That means there were witnesses. If you can't find one who is willing to back you up, you're screwed. Sorry. :(
