first find out what slots u have open. pen the case and look at the open slots. if ur computer came with intergrated graphics u can prbly only use pci graphics cards. here is a list of them. only these will work. in laptops u cannot upgrade graphics

It depends on the laptop manufacturer, we would need to know the exact model you have then we could tell you if it's possible. Most laptops cannot be upgraded because they are integrated, but some higher end systems like Alienware can be.

You can't. Buy a new laptop.

There were a few PCCard products to add a second video card for presentations and things, but they would not improve performance or work on the built in display.
