can i get pregnant with an IUD? I have had it for almost 2 years and never got pregnant, but now I have gone a couple of months with no period, I had bleeding for about four months when i first got it, and my period will come at diff. times of the month and sometimes skip a month but it has been a couple now and im worried! Can i get pregnant?

The pill is 99.9% effective too if taken correctly. Mine had its own alarm clock... I'm pregnant... I'd take a test or schedule a visit with the good ol' dr.

Yes, it's been known to happen. I've heard of the IUD being accidentally expelled.
However, it's much more likely that the IUD is causing scar tissue in your womb and fallopian tubes and basically wrecking your system so it's not functioning the way it should.
The best thing you can do for yourself is see a doctor. Most of the people on Y!A aren't physicians, and you need professional advice.

i wouldnt worry as an iud affects your period, take a test if you are really worried. you CAN get pregnant with an iud, and your doctor will give you the option of continuing the pregnancy with the iud in, or removing it. both have a chance of miscarriage. dont stress! wait it out, take a test, look for signs.

No way! That thing is 99.9% effective! I always think I'm pregnant too and I have an IUD. So I take a test and I never am!
But you should still see your doctor with any concers and that .1% chance!
