Barry Bonds...Oh...to be torn..
Baseball is a game based on tradition and numbers...legacy and statistics. Barry Bonds(and a slew of others) violated the sanctity of a game I hold very sacred. Baseball is holy and sacred. (not to mention the ultimate test of skill, patience, and timing)<---got that from a movie...Cheating pisses on the sanctity, and the legacy of the players that have gone before...
However, "hitting that little round ball, with a little round bat, squarly.."(-Yogi Berra) is arguably the hardest thing in sports to do...I've never heard of a steroid that improves your hand-eye coordination. Granted, they could possibly give a routine pop-up at Fenway just enough umph to clear the monster...I get it...but not nearly enough to do it 755 times. Being a game of stats, this is an impressive feat..
Bottom line: I will respect what he's done. He is, without a doubt, one of the greatest hitters of all time. But as a person-a man...I wouldn't let him shampoo my butt...
p.s. spell check is for sissies

I don't care really. I live a couple minutes from Pac Bell park and people love that guy around here, but I'm an A's fan and I hate the Giants so I realy won't be rooting for him. If your a sorry a s s Giant fan then you have to like Barry because he won a lot of games for you and helped you get a new ballpark, but to everyone else he is just another one of the steroid era players that took anabolic steroids and are now polluting the record books with their blown up stats.

I will be happy that he breaks the record, records are meant to be broken and if he is eligible to play then he can break any record out there. When Hank broke the record many people said "how could they let him break the record"; he did not get this accolade of being so great until ten years after he retired. When Maris was breaking Ruth's single season record it was outrage because he was not great enough to break a Babe Ruth record. It goes on and on, people want to whine about what someone may have done not by looking at what is proven to have been done...which is he hit the ball very far a lot of times!

I'll be happy because then when they put enough evidence to say he use steroids he'll go from the very top and being the king of baseball to the bottom and being some guy who cheated to get what he wanted

Who in their right mind could be happy for him? He is a disgrace to the game as is Sosa and McGuire. A bunch of roid head losers.
