why was dale Carnegie so successful with his books?

what made them so great ? how come no one so far did as good as his ? for 100 years no writer could do it like he did ..

I think what happened in his case is that he wrote stuff that assured the readers that they can do it too.
I personally have noticed that the non fiction writers that connects with the reader in an easy way are often more successful.

However, the non fiction writers who worry about sounding "smart" and forget about the readers do not get appreciated.

Everyone has to realize that its all about the business and keeping your client happy.
