"If I'm going to say anything about John Edwards in the future, I'll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot," Coulter said Monday, picking up on remarks made by HBO's Bill Maher. Maher suggested in March that "people wouldn't be dying needlessly" if Vice President Dick Cheney had been killed in an insurgent attack in Afghanistan."

I thought Ann Cutler's remark was inappropriate until I saw the above statement from Bill Maher.

I'm glad I waited a few minutes to answer this question and glad you asked it. I'm not going to defend Coulter, as I don't think she needs it, she handles herself quite well. What is so interesting about many of the answers is that people consider Bill Maher a comedian. This is what they say about Rosie, Whoppie Goldberg and Michael Moore. They may be, but they are comedians with a platform, and they use that platform to bash the President, Christians, the country, the war, etc. All of the above mentioned are dwarfed by Coulters intellect, there isn't a liberal match for her writing ability, her wit or her ability to get under peoples skin. That's why they don't like her. Thanks

Maher’s comment may be inappropriate, but certainly is not worse than Coulter's. Has Edwards attacked and violated the US Constitution, or been responsible for murdering and destroying the lives of hundreds of thousands of people like Cheney?

Liberal Pootie --
Coulter thinks that Iraq was involved in 9/11 and that we found WMDs there. Blind ignorance (as well as plagiarism and poor research) are her domain. No knowledgeable or educated person takes her ideas seriously.

by the way, it's worth mentioning that maher NEVER SAID WHAT YOU SAY HE SAID!
this is what cons do when they are DISGRACED by one of their 'respected' pundits - change the subject and LIE.
and this from the folks who just LOVE to lecture the rest of us on what good christians they are.
ann coulter's open insults to elizabeth edwards simple request that coulter stop the personal insults was met with a childish derision that i have not seen EVER displayed by an adult.
if cons really want to allow coulter speak for them - fine.
if ann coulter represents one side of this debate and elizabether edwards the other - there is no contest.
ironically, i now give edwards the candidate a much closer look - what is it about him that has the right wing smear machine so PETRIFIED - i hadn't been interested in him, but i will find out why they are so deeply afraid of him.
folks, check out what this guy has added as additional details - he too now smears edwards.
why are so many cons so deathly afraid of this guy - it really makes me wonder.

I didn't read the link I could care less about Coulter but V.P.Cheney is a different matter. As a member of the executive branch acting in the manner to which he is accustomed, with indifference, arrogance and audacity, he deserves most comments coming his way, let me add one. He is a traitor to this country and as such should be taken outside put against a wall and shot for treason. That's what I think.

Again you cons with this old news. Do you have no reading comprehension at all? Bill never said he WISHED the VP had been killed. He was commenting on a hypothetical scenario that involved the statement "If he had been killed..."
Some of you could use some remedial English comprehension classes. Statement in its full context below.

Coulter has never claimed to be a legit journalist. Is she on any news shows?
She writes books to save money. She purposefully says inflamming remarks to get a response. That is what she does.

A: Maher isn't a nationally "respected" political commentater as Coulter is, he's an a** hole comic.
B: They both can be prosecuted under American law, and probably should be.

I'd be interested to see what the context was for the Maher quote. If you have a link to it could you post it?
The link you posted doesn't show it in context either.
