ok I don't know what i am having yet i'm only 11 weeks. but we already have names. I love the girl name but we want a boy. My husband wants to name him after hiself Gary and call him lil gary. I want to name him connor. What do i do? My husband has two boys that he don't get to see, and he did not get to name them, there mother did even though they was together when she had them. Should i let him name it since he didn't get to name his other. I have a 4 year old girl and i named her so should i let him have this one. ( he is the step dad to my lil girl, has been since she was 2)

Do what feels right. It seems to me that it would be a really nice gesture to your husband to let him name the baby and would really mean a lot to him. If you are not totally opposed to the name make your husband happy. If you really don't like it then try to find a completely different name you can agree on together. Or like everyone else suggested you could compromise and go Gary Connor or Connor Gary. Just agree together no matter what. Good Luck!

Well, I think naming a child is a joint effort of the parents! I would go to a website or book and find an alternative name for a boy. Gary obvioulsy wants to have a junior in his life, but if you are not crazy about it, find something totally different that you can agree on. You can also combine the two names:
Gary Connor
or
Connor Gary

They sound nice together : )

Good luck with the rest of your prenancy and congrats! : )

You should come to some sort of consensus. You and your husband need to think about names that a child can live with during childhood as well as adulthood. Maybe Gary can be a middle name, or you can name the baby Gary Connor and call him Connor (assuming that it's really a boy)! :)

Come to a compromise. Maybe Gary Connor? Or maybe you can pick the name if it's a girl, and he can pick the name if it's a boy.
My husband and I do not agree much on anything, so I understand a persistent hubby.
If you feel he should pick the name and you don't like it, maybe you can choose different variants of his name or choose his middle name. Whatever you decide, it's your compromise, and I wish you a happy, healthy baby and family!

Why not Connor Gary? Garrison Connor, yes I know what a garrison is lol, I'm trying to find middle ground here. Try talking to him about it and see if that gets you two anywhere. Find variations you like or if he doesn't mind it for a middle name. Sometimes it's nice to have two names to choose from lol.

I like the idea of naming him Gary Connor-that way you both get what you want!

Gary Connor is a nice name, and that way your son can choose which one he wants to go by himself.
