(Again, I shouldn't have to point this out, but I invariably get answers from kids saying things like, "I am still in my childhood!!" This is a question for adults...)

I don't know why, or where it came from...but when my son asked me a question today that I couldn't answer, I told him, "Ancient Chinese secret!".
That would never make it to the airwaves today....
What commercial do you remember?

OMG when I read your question, I immediately thought of that Calgon commerical. (Ancient Chinese Secret!) I could recite for you right now! I also remember "Plop, plop fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is." and "I can't believe I ate the whole thing." Are those from the same commercial???

How about the one where the "Little girl is helping her Mother in the kitchen preparing dinner and she says; It's Shake-N-Bake and I Helped "(with southern draw) or "If you think its butter but its not" its Chiffon or the Colonel's "Finger lickin' Good" "Chuck-wagon" dog food comercials and this I can barely remember 20 mule-team Borax commercials
