Ok I had my period for a solid week like everytime I have it. But my next period isnt suppose to be till July 15th, but for 3 days I have been spotting brown and I was just wondering what could cause me to do this....its not heavy or anything but still I didnt know what it meant.

i ovualed today...the last time i had unprotected sex was 3 days ago and my husband is shooting blanks :(

It's old blood. Don't worry about it. It happens to everybody.

The bleeding is brown because it's been drying. This could be the result from many things.

Are you taking birth control pills? It could be typical "spotting" that some women experience, especially with low-dose or projestin-only pills.

Have you had unprotected sex close to your ovulation date? Sometimes the implantation of a fertilized egg into the uterus can cause spotting.

You could also have a cyst.

Chances are it's just typical breakthrough bleeding or "spotting" from hormonal fluctuations. The tiniest thing can throw your hormones out of whack; if your body is fighting an infection, for example.

If you're really concerned, see your GYN. And if you're late for your period next time around, take a test. This could be a VERY early sign of pregnancy.

think of it as leftovers you body needs to get rid of. this is normal and more common than most people think.
