I have pcos and I normally have heavy periods that last for up to two weeks.I normally had to wear both types of sanitry protection and change every two hours.

This last period has been different as it only lasted two days and has been lighter than normal.
I only had to wear a pad and changed every four hours
It started off with pink mucus spotting then went on to red flow. There was a clot the size of a penny on day one and I had some smaller clots on day 2 and i had cramping which went when the period stopped.

I have lost weight do you thing this has any thing do do with my period being different this time.

It could be from anything.

First how old are you??

Mine changes alot.
Depends what's going on in my life emtionally, physically.
Right now my body is in serious repair mode because of a broken leg.
My peroid was super super light this month.

Last month I thought I was giong to die.
LOL
As far as the clots, that's normal for me too.
I get cramping right before mine starts, often during.
Advil works great for me

If your really concerned to see a doctor.
Set your mind at ease.

Well if you've started exercising it can affect your period, as can weight loss. During basic training for seven weeks I didn't have a period, it was great. All during basketball season when I was in school I didn't have a period we ran so much. But I defiantly think you should go to the doc. Better to be safe than sorry.

I don't know anything about pcos, but every woman has a few weird periods in her lifetime. I'm sure you are fine, but it wouldn't hurt to talk to your doctor.

There could be many different reasons for the change but you should see your doctor just to make sure eveything is ok. My friend suffered with that for many years and hers suddenly eased up when she hit her 20's
