Having a lady/ man that you spend a few hours a week just talking and hanging out with that spouse or other close to you know nothing about. Kind of develop a space with that person where nothing from you everday lives comes into play.

The thought of it is very appealing, however, I honestly wouldn't like the secrets or lies. I have a hard time remembering the truth I would get caught the first day on my adventure.

I don't think I could keep the secret life because I like to speak honestly to my friends and family and would feel extremely guilty, even if there was nothing going on to be ashamed of. I actually don't understand why you think that a secret second life would be good. Surely it is best to make your 'true' life as good as you can involving only the people who mean the most to you?

I'm sure it would be appealing but I think that is an easy way out. I mean your spouse should be your best friend, someone that you can turn to and some one she/he could turn to in return. A marriage or relationship is something that you have to work towards to make work. It is not easy all the time but it is definitely worth it in the end..

Sure...but given the fact that it's already a secret from your spouse, it's a short hop to developing a fondness/attraction for that person that would probably lead to something 'more'...very risky business, that. Caution! FYI, nothing stays 'secret' for long...if you were found out, you'd have a hard time explaining your secret "friend."

Wow. Finally a question where the women here answered honestly and didnt get all self righteous. Well, some women still answered about it being cheating and all, but I was very pleased to see that some women admitted to it being appealing. It is a lot of work. But also very fulfilling.

Not really because it sounds deceitful. I'm single and a single person can see whomever they want without notifying others...to have it be secret means there's someone to hide it from and I'm not into bad karma and hurting people I'm supposed to care about (or being a party to someone else doing it).

I wouldn't want a secret second life....It's too much time consuming and it can be emotionally, physically, and mentally drainful....Who really wants thats stress???
If your not happy with the person your with then you should leave them so you wouldn't have to live and lead a secret life...

The guilt would kill me, and it sounds like a lot of work. My husand is my best friend. I have a hard time not telling him about surprises for him... I could never lie to him about my secret second life.

To me that implies that you're not facing the issues that got you to consider a second life. Face the issues in your first life because if you don't your second life will end up just like the first.
