No, you are just insane (not in a bad way). Actually they will have more bargaining leverage when he becomes a FA. His defense is still stellar. The best defensive CF in the game. His offense just blows. And who is going to give up anything to acquire him? He is wayyyyyyy below market value right now.

Andruw Jones won't be traded because he won't approve any trade from the Braves and has said so publically.. He's a 5-and-10 player, meaning he has been in the majors ten years, and the last five on the same team, He has the right to veto any trade.. And Atlanta's GM brought that up on Sunday night baseball, that they won;t trade Jones, primarily because he can veto it.. doesn't mean the Braves won't try.. but it won't happen

Andruw should be traded. True, he is in a slump, but that's not the reason he should be traded. Every time he gets up to bat he tries for the home run and strikes out. He doesn't listen to Terry P. He should just try to get a base hit and maybe his average would go up. Besides, the Braves need new blood.

Andruw has a no-trade clause in his contract and has made it quite known that he has no desire to be traded mid-season and plans to finish out his contract with Atlanta and become a free agent at the end of the season. If Atlanta drops out of the race for the playoffs, it would make sense for them to get some value for Andruw since it doesn't look like the Braves will have the money to re-sign him. Andruw has a house in Atlanta and doesn't want to go anywhere though, so that option is out.

I agree with Dark Knight. Andruw Jones is staying with the Braves. His value is very low and the Braves are still in contention. He is the best CF in the game as well. Anyone who doesn't believe that is a fool. He will be going to Cooperstown when his career is finished and he will join the likes of Willie Mays. The guy is a beast in the field.

Andruw is hitting a buck ninety eight right now and his value is rock bottom. However, the Braves do like his power and feel he can be as asset to the club if he can come out from under this prolonged slump. I don't believe you will see the Braves trying to move him this year. His weight is actually a hundred more than his batting average.

The Braves have a chance to get the Wild Card this year. Unless the have no chance of making the playoffs, which they do, expect the Braves to hold on to the bulk of their roster, including Andruw Jones.

No, they will not trade Andruw Jones. Andruw Jones is a good player, and since he's in a slump, they won't get anything of value for him. Also, it would be wise for the Braves to keep him because because of this terrible year, they could resign him for less since it's a contract year.
