I have never gone out of state and I am going to Tennessee to visit some of my family. I am already going to go to Graceland. I just dont know what other places there are to go in Tennessee. Where are some wonderful places for a family with a teenager to go in Tenessee?

Nashville is a bit of a hike from Memphis, but it's a fun town. It's the only place I've been in which live music can be heard at 2:45 on a Thursday afternoon. The Country Music Hall of Fame is worthwhile, even though I don't even like country music. The State Capitol is quite pretty, the Hermitage is interesting if you like history, and the Ryman Auditorium and Grand Old Opry are almost shrines.

gibson guitar factory, pinkpalace museum, mudisland, the memphis zoo, peabody hotel( cute ducks do a walk on a red carpet from the elevator and swim in fountain), sun studios( a blues history tour), staxx records, rendevous bbq, wc handy park, rum boogie cafe, and check out the car museum across from graceland it has all of elvis's cars and the lisa marie plane next door....fed ex stadium ...walk on beale street and check out the night life you do not have to drink it is just fun to watch some out door musicians and such,,,tater reds is a funny giift shop n beale to browse through its a bit interesting. There are some rivers aroud the area to canoe and raft and go camping as well ... have fun!

I went to Tennessee in December- Gatlinburg- didn't like it at all, it was way too small of a town. We rented a cabin, and the cabin was nice- but it was in the middle of the woods and it was very scary... good luck
