Probably circulation problem. Age, previous injury, blood imbalance etc etc.
On the other hand could be a neurological problem or even a warning sign of a cardiac problem.
Whatever it is, have it checked out by your Doctor. Don't guess where your health is concerned.

Carpal tunnel syndrome and many other issues could be the cause. My hands will turn red, become like "paralyzed", etc. if I hold onto things. Is it more like when you cross your legs and get the pins and needles sensation? Perhaps one of your nerves is being pinched.
Only a GOOD doctor can tell for sure.

It is usually a lack of blood in the area (poor circulation) but it could also have to do with blood sugar

It means your not allowing enough blood to goet to your fingers, just lay face down on a bed and let your arm hang down off the side to get blood to your fingertips faster my mom taught me that when I was a kid and it's worked for me for many years

there are numerous reasons for such symptoms. From diabetic neuropathy, to carpal tunnel, to poor circulation, to pinched nerves in the spine. If it impairs you ability to function or causes you great distress, see a doctor.

It's usually a lack of sirculation in your hand that causes it. It's just the feeling of a lack of blood.
