I want to know what your personal idea is of an America free of racism. When will you be satisfied with America? What things do you think would help contribute to a racist-free country? It's an open ended question. Share!

Yeah I know I'm talking about a comlete utopian society, which will sadly probably never happen. But just for kicks, share with me.

Thank you much <:

First of all....I dont know why you let that Amber girl pressure you into erasing your comment off her question (about media being racially biased). You had a great point with your answer but she called you out on it.....you should have stood up for what you believe instead of erasing it. Anyways, there is NEVER going to be an end to racism. Black people use it too much. If racism ended, then they would have to take responsibility for THEMSELVES. They would no longer be able to BLAME the white man. They would no longer be able to cry "injustice!" Haven't you ever noticed how EVERYTHING that goes wrong in an African Americans life has to do with SOMETHING that the white race has done or is doing?? I answered a question the other day about why minority business weren't getting contracts in Iraq!!! NOT GETTING CONTRACTS IN IRAQ????? You have got to be freaking kidding me!!! How is it that EVERYTHING can SOMEHOW be contributed to the fact that they are BLACK??? It's a cop-out and they will FOREVER use that card so they can push the blame on SOMEONE else. THEY will keep it alive for the benefit of their own race. End of story. So, for as long as there are black people, there will be racism.

It will never happen. As long as people carry guns, kill each other on the streets, take weapons to school and put fear in the heart of the average person , IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

There are scum bags in every nationality. Sadly enough our Prisons are overly filled with young Black men who waste their lives doing wrong things instead of attempting to better themselves.

In the fifties you could walk the streets safely with no fear. Swearing almost never happened. It was a calm and peaceful time.
The filth that occurs on this very site continuously was never heard of.. We knew what adjectives were.

I honestly do not think that rasism will ever end. It's a sad truth, but there are just some people that think they are better than everyone else. Even if everyone become one race those people would find a difference to pick at: where they live, how they talk, or what they eat. I hate this but it is true.

I honestly think it will take years and years. It will come to an end when there are no races left, when everyone is of a mixed race.
Unfortunately, it is human nature to want to "be better" than someone else. I always thought it ironic that white people pay to get a tan (feel more attractive when they are darker) and black people want to be lighter (the lighter skinned are deemed more attractive). Once race is out of the equation, all of the simple minded people will pick something else to judge. Weight, hair color, height, you name it.

I want it to happen as much as you, but you have to realize that is taught to kids to be racist. In order for racism to end we have to reteach everything we know to everyone. I'm in that battle with my in-laws. I hate it. What's even more sad is words like the n word being used like it's no big deal anymore. My friend, who is black/African American (what ever term you prefer) agrees with me that the word no matter who says it means the same thing it did 100 years ago. Either way it's wrong and people should accept other people's differences. You don't have to like everyone, but you don't have to be negative either.

Unfortunately never. The reason I say this is because many people have prejudice against someone or something that may be linked to a past experience or how they were raised. If it does end I dont think it will be in this lifetime.

When race is no long an issue...anywhere. I know there are what people see as a positive side to race-division such as scholorships, etc., buta division is a division and anything that is not seen as a unity can be turned into a negative by people who don't agree.

Racism will never end as long as there are polls and tv show topics and studies done on it. If we, as a society, stop referring to "15% of all black men and 25% of all white men....." we'll be much better off.

You can't change history...you can't always change people's minds...but you can educate for the future.

Never. All we can hope for is that more people learn to respect others and expand their narrow visions of the world. Mind you I did not say "tolerate" because that word implies that there's something wrong with whatever/whoever is being "tolerated" to begin with, which is not true.
