Bigfoot could be a manifestation of our beast/primitive side.
Have you seen that old movie "Fobidden Planet"?The scientist's subconscious primitive side came from a nightmare and a beast emerges from it. Maybe it is something like that.

he could also be a alien from outter space that got stranded here.. one with a long life span.. or some type of ape we just dont know about.. or some one who has a deformity..but for as long as there have been sightings he would have had to have family for that..
