She was a characticature of a hot chick, so she was modeled on the typical man's idea of what a woman should look like. This does not mean that a girl has to look like a Barbie doll to be beautiful, but rather if a girl resembles barbie she is one of the hottest chicks in town.

First, as a collector I know the difference between fantasy and reality. Barbie is only a toy of fantasy that is inferior to humanity. The media in print, film, and television has refused to clearly define the difference in the digital manipulated images of there human models and real natural humanity . They have pushed this in the eyes of boys and men decade after decade. The fathers have passed it down to their sons. This is the majority of society in my opinion based upon my observation of many years. Therefore, most guys are programed to think that the fantasy standard of beauty is the one that is to be coveted and acquired. It is most acceptable by their parents, friends, and peers by their responses toward those types of females unlike the natural ones. It is the insanity of humanity that is the major problem.

Some men do like that look. Some men just say they hate that look, when really they love it. And some men honestly hate that look and love women who look completely natural.

Women who do that to themselves, look like they fell out of the ugly tree twice and hit every branch on the way down, both times. I wouldn't ever do that to myself. An old boyfriend that I was with for three years, always cut me down about my height/looks, saying "women are not suppose to be that tall." I'm 5'10 and I love my height. I love having green eyes and dark brunette hair too. I wouldn't change my hair or eye color ever.

This question reminds me of something. I was flipping through channels the other night and there was one of those stupid reality shows on called Age of Love or something to that effect. I guess it's sort of like the Bachelor. Anyhow..the guy on it was talking to all these women. He asked one what her personality was like. She answered him with "my personality is like my dogs." He was a bit weirded out by it. But in the end he kept her on and booted off another girl. The girl that he kept even with her answer to his question, was blonde, blue eyed, fake boobs..that were so obviously fake it wasn't funny, had the orange tan, and probably even wore fake eyelashes and extensions. I realize that is just one guy, but still..ya know.

Looks will eventually fade, in the end it's always going to be personality that keeps someone interested. Yeah sure, I guess you could be that 70 year old woman who is trying to look 25. But that is just as unattractive as the women who are 20 and fake.

Women are the same when it comes to your question. Some like men who are the "tall dark, handsome" type, and look like they eat steroids like they're going out of style. Some say they hate it and actually love it. And some honestly hate it.

I used to think they did and I kind of looked like that, but as I get older (I'm 39) I,myself find the look vulgar and have begun to keep my boobs under wraps, keep my skin and hair natural etc...I don't get looked at like I used to, but when I see other girls like that, I think they look disgusting now. (maybe it's partly because I don't live in CA anymore but in Georgia). I think guys that like that look are probably only looking for one thing. Guys that want a real relationship will look for a real woman, not someone who wants to be gawked at all the time.
