If you are running Westlake, Telluride, YKS, or Compass tires on your truck or minivan, you need to get them checked. They are missing a strip of gummy rubber within the construction of the tire that helps keep the plys from separating and potentially causing an accident. There is no way to tell if your tires are affected just by looking at them. You must compare the manufacturers ID#s on the tires to the list of recalled tires. These are all light truck tires, and not often used on cars.
