We want to spend it in the United States. Some people are coming from New Hampshire, some from Maryland, some from San Francisco, CA so we want to "meet up". We'd prefer warm/hot weather (so not the North) and/or a resort. Anywhere cool that you live or have visited you can recommend? We like to swim, shop, go to theme parks, water parks, sightsee, do tourist stuff, go to casinos. Not big nature people (hiking, biking) and not doing extreme sports (hang gliding, bungee jumping). come to florida... we have theme parks, cassinos and nice weather all year round... not to mention flights coming here usually are inexpensive

Go to Vegas! You'll get good rates that weekend and there's tons to do. Even if you don't gamble, there's shows, shopping, swimming... there's a great aquarium at Mandalay bay, tigers and lions and dolphins at the Mirage, circus shows, gondola rides at the Venetian, incredible shops at Caesar's Palace and the Venetian, amazing spas at all the hotels, really it's a great place. One $1.50 bus ticket will take you up and down the Strip all day. Not to mention incredible restaurants and buffets.

Try Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia. It is a nice amusement park and Williamsburg is a historic city. I hear they have great food also. :)
