I have long heard people say that by losing a significant amount of weight, the length of the penis will increase. Now, I'm no doctor, but I know that aside from stretching with weights or getting expensive surgeries, there is no way to increase penis size, period. No matter how much weight a man loses, it cannot add extra skin and tissue that was not there before.

So is this all a myth? Or is there some truth to it? And if it's true, well, how? When people say it, are they meaning to imply that by losing weight and the overhanging gut that usually accompanies it, you are generally able to use more of your penis than you had before, making it SEEM longer now that more of it is workable?

Just trying to understand, and I hope a medical professional or someone who can explain it to me in those terms will answer.

Thanks!

It is referring to fat deposits on the pelvic bone, at the base of the penis. A doctor on Oprah last spring said "lose 30 pounds, gain and inch". What he went on to say, but is often left out, is that losing 30 pounds could take an inch off the fat buildup, making the visible penis appear to gain an inch in lengh. Only applies to someone overweight, though--not morbid obesity. A morbid obese person losing 30 pounds would not notice any difference, if he could actually see down there.

Actually the reason behind this myth is fact that in men as well as women a gain in weight leads to deposition of fat around the penis surrounding .. where genital hair grows. So if a man no matter what size he be from down below starts gaining weight then the increase in weight will also lead to deposition of fat in that area (NOT ON THE PENIS .. AROUND THE PENILE AREA) .. this leads to less exposure and covering of the penis by the surrounding fat. Less exposure of the penis. At that time the penis size is same .. its just that it is less exposed. So the lesser fat u have the more ur exposing ur penis. Hope this answers ur query.

I don't know if those measurement numbers are correct. But it works like this. For every so many pounds lost, the abdomen doesn't protrude forward. When the abdomen is protruding outward, the ligaments attached to the penis are pulled back, making it look smaller. So when the abdomen girth is reduced, there is less pulling inward on the penis ligament, thus allowing the penis to elongate as the abdomen gets smaller.

It doesn't actually get bigger. Think of it this way, if you had a 6 foot pole in the center of a 3 foot deep pond, you would see 3 feet of the pole. Now, when the pond fills up with a foot of water. You now only see 2 feet of it. It hasn't gotten shorter, there is just more of the pond. Now as the pond drains, you will see more and more of the pole. It hasn't gotten any bigger, there is just more of it to see.

I hope that helps.

Of course I could have gone for the easy joke.......

Nothing grows in the shade!

I am no doctor- but I saw this question and just laughed so hard the guy across the hall from me wondered what was up.
So I asked him if there was some truth to this myth-
He's still choking on his coffee. I may never know.

when you have fat where the penis is, the fat covers the length of the penis.

if you lose the fat here, you will see more of the penis, but no need to lose one hundred pounds. it was probably started by like a 500 pound man who when he lost weight could actually see his penis, or more of it.

myth.
the penis does not get fat ot loose weight... size is a function of the max blood capacity when fully engorged... thats why (Im told) penis pumps do work temporarily...

cheers!

That is very impossible to happen. There is no way that the size can ever change unless you have surgery.
