They get a small amount, like a waitress, but is mostly classified as "Consultants" and "Independent - Self Employeed" workers.
The Governer of Nevada is trying to change laws to protect the 'working girls'. In the current state laws strippers are treated less than a waitress or bartender. So, at their place of employment, the waiter, bartender, bouncer, and toilet assistant get paid a minimum wage, dental, medical, and retirment. However, the strippers are "consultants" and denied such benefits. Anyways since "Vegus" is sin city and stripping & SOME prostitution is legal, the Governer is trying to make these benefits available to this type of worker.
Ah, even if the governer changes this ... there's still the problem "Why buy the milk when you can get the cows for free" ... with clubs hosting "Girls gone wild" ... well, it's all volunteer. Corporations all want lower "Costs" so, many strippers are being sold out by drunk chicks with vanity issues.

It is very rare for a dancer to get a paycheck. extremely. Most places, they pay a stage fee to work at the club, and keep the tips that are left over after that. Depending on the club, the city, etc, that could be anywhere from $10 to $300. Plus, they're expected to "tip out" a lot of other people who work at the club, including bouncers, bartenders, DJ's, "house moms" (who are usually former strippers who bring supplies and help the girls get ready, etc). That can get pretty expensive, sometimes you're expected to tip $20 or more to each of these people. This means on a slow day, it's actually possible for a dancer to work her *** off for 5-8 hours or more, and actually leave owing the club money.

Most strippers do not get actual paychecks. How they work in vegas and I think most of the country is that they pay a fee to the owner of the club for "stage rental". After this fee is paid everything that they get in tips is their pay for the night. The more nights you work and the more tips you get the more money you make.

The strippers I've known had SMALL paychecks. Minimum wage. Theoretically, they served drinks,so were paid employees of the establishment, and (again theoretically) they danced for customers at will. They relied heavily on tips. Economically, it was much like waiting tables; psychologically, it was usually destructive.
I like women, and I always enjoyed watching 'natural strippers' perform--but most of the strippers I knew weren't stripping for the joy of it. They needed the money.

the final compensatory dividends are no longer equivalent. particular, a stripper can pocket 1000$ in one evening yet she has no retirement fund, no profession reward kit, no scientific coverage, no union secure practices, no profession mobility and he or she is putting herself outdoors the regulation regarding criminal secure practices and unlawful pastime. She additionally can not formally retire---prostitutes are forcefully moved out of the corporation whilst their bodies are not from now on waiting to artwork the "strip" or their acceptance now no longer bids them "johns" or whilst they are contemporary in puddles of blood between alleys. Dental/scientific assistants can with ease artwork into their Nineteen Seventies (in the event that they so choose) then retire and revel interior the retirement secure practices internet that they stepped forward on an analogous time as gainfully employed. ". . .yet does it beat the secure paycheck of a dental assistant?" The evaluation isn't in simple terms approximately money, it is likewise appropriate to the utility and ordinary repayment provided for the artwork being achieved.
