wow I'm sure you're talking about a couple I know! And I've drawn the conclusion you've got to leave him to it. He will realise the error of his ways soon enough. And if he doesn't, well there's not a lot you can do! Unfortunately, you'll probably find that he's got low self esteem - even if she's gorgeous, it just ain't enough. The couple I know, she's got a body that a lot of men would find attractive (I fail to see why, but I'm not a man...) and she wears tons of make up, your classic bimbo. You expect her to be pretty, but she's not. But she's the type of girl that appears attractive at first glance, ie, she has the components. But she's an absolute horror. She's a compulsive liar and a massive attention seeker, like your mate's girl.
You just have to accept that he's with her - do not try and persuade him, it will not work, it'll just drawn them closer and make him resent you. Be there for him for when she pulls the wool over his eyes, and if he starts to sacrifice your friendship for her, then you can have a quiet word. A girlfriend should never get in the way of her fella seeing his friends from time to time. Just hope that he sees the light, and try, in the meantime, to boost his self esteem - without making it too obvious you're telling him 'you can do better'. Oh and also, be careful to not give him the wrong idea of your feelings for him - one of the risks of a boy-girl friendship - if she starts to think you're sharking him (even if you're not) she'll probably cause a most beastly scene!

You might take him aside, tell him what you feel is going on. Do it in a friendly manner. Don't force him into a defensive mode because that will undermine your friendship. Let him know your concerns but also let him know that you will support him no matter what he decides. You don't want to lose a friendship over this. In time, he'll figure it out...

sorry to say this, and i have learned this from personal lessons learned that its best to keep your mouth shut about it b/c telling him could and most likely would back fire and that would be bad. he will find out in due time and when he does just make sure that you all are there for him. it will be hard as a mother to keep quite while a friend is walking right into a bad situation but some people have to learn their lessons the hard way. and we have to let them learn them that way.

Unfortunately in situations like this you can't really do much of anything. If this girl isn't for him he is going to have to find out the hard way. You should just be there for him when things dont work out. One good thing that will come out of it for him is he will find out who his true friends are. The ones that didnt ditch him because they dont approve of his girl.

Dear Summer, your friend is an adult and therefore can make his own decisions. It seems that he is in love with her and no amount of talking is going to disturb that. If you decide to tell him, you might lose a friend. Let him find out for himself what she is really like, but like a true friend be there for him when he needs you, Good luck.................David

your friend needs to get out of this marriage and forget it. its not right for him and he must see it i tried with my own son and he got married and 7 years later its still costing him lawyers and money to take the kid from her and shes a mess so you see it could come to that and make it stick and really sit him down and talk

Voice your concerns without running her down if you can.
But you have to let him make his own mistakes. If you are a real friend, you will be there to scrape him up when it all goes t**s-up.

It has to be him who notices this, I understand your concerns but if you try to advise him he won't see it and it could come between you and him. He has to find out by himself, its the only way he will know for certain.
