If you have been forced to take someones life while in the line of duty, how do you deal with it? Do you get over it? Did you stay in your line of work after that? I know with the military you may not have a choice about leaving the job. What is the hardest part of having to make a choice between your life or that of someone else?

I respect those that can do that kind of a job.

You have to decide up front that protection of your own life outweights protection of the life of the enemy. It is the same decision that every person thinking of owning a personal firearm for self protection needs to make.

The recovery after using deadly force can be difficult and significant, but not nearly as important as the up front decision.
