no. he was an amazing goal scorer (and funny guy) but brett hull was better. hull was never made out to be anything, but ended up with 2nd most (i think) goals in nhl history

I might lean towards Bossy or Brett Hull but Phil definitely knew how to put the pucks in the net. And he did hold the goal scoring record for a single season until some guy named Gretzky passed him. I'd also have to say Mario was one of the best too. He had the ability to beat you with a deke or a shot.

Espo was a great player in the NHL, and does have his number retired as well as being in the hall of fame, but to say he was the best natural goal scorer in nhl history is going a little overboard. I would say that in Boston Bruins history you have him among others including Bobby Orr that are known for their goal scoring. He would be on many peoples top 10 natural goal-scorers list, but I couldn't put him number one. There are too many great goal scorers in the history of the game to say that he was the best ever.

while esposito scored a ton of goals i wouldn't say he was the best natural goal scorer of all time.many of his goals were what are called"garbage goals"where you bang in rebounds.his big frame allowed him to stay in the slot ontop of the goalie and get to loose pucks.he agreed with this summation here in the sault(his home town)during his appreciation day.my top 3 natural goal scorers of all time would be Mike Bossy,Pavel Bure and Mike Gartner.when its all said and done though i think we will add Ovechkin to the mix.

I never knew what "natural" mean here. But Mike Bossy is often called a natural goal scorer. Please define the term. Also, Brett Hull
