Frank Thomas - a lock possibly first ballot
Chipper Jones - quietly one of the best switch hitters of all time
Jim Thome - borderline but will likely eventually make it
Mike Mussina - ditto
Fred McGriff - nah
Juan Gonzalez - nope roids and he wasn't good long enough
Curt Schilling - ugh I hate him but hes a lock
Omar Vizquel- if Ryno got it theres hope for him
Mike Piazza - a lock and a likely first ballot
Jeff Bagwell - nah he'll fall short with roid allegations
Randy Johnson - a lock and a likely first ballot
Edgar Martinez - most writers don't like him because he was a DH but he deserves to make it

Frank Thomas -Yes, one of the greatest hitters in the 90's and about to get his 500th career homerun
Chipper Jones - Yes, Very good player on the 14 straight Division winning Braves great switch hitter and an MVP doesn't hurt either
Jim Thome - Possibly, I'm leaning towards no. Very great power hitter, but that's about it, struck out too much. I would like to see him in, but I doubt it
Mike Mussina - Possibly, if he e a
Fred McGriff - I loved Crime Dog but I'll say no. Very good career but not Hall worthy.
Juan Gonzalez - An RBI machine in the mid 90's but again overall not impressive enough for the Hall.
Curt Schilling - Possibly. Only had 3-20 win seasons. Career numbers aren't that impressive, but because of his playoff performance and bloody sock, I think that will get him in. But stat wise I'll say no.
Omar Vizquel - Yes, only because he is one of the best ever with the glove. His batting stats are average but because of his glove I think he'll get in. Might not be fair but he will.
Mike Piazza - Yes. One of the best hitting catchers ever! Not very good defense, but man I loved watching him when he first came up to the bigs.
Jeff Bagwell - No. One of my favorite players, he reminds me a lot of time, except Bags has a better average.
Randy Johnson - Yes! One of the most feared pitchers in his prime, one of the best ever in my book.
Edgar Martinez - I'll say no. My reason...I don't think you should be in the hall if you're a DH. ...I just looked up his stats, he only had one really good year in 2000 when he batted .324 hit 37 HRS and drove in 145 runs. All his other years he hit for average and had around 100 RBIs, that is not worthy of the hall if you ask me.

Frank Thomas - yes; one of the best players in his era of the mid-90s who will have career numbers to back it up
Chipper Jones - yes, assuming he has a few more solid years; a 3B for a dominant Braves team with an MVP and solid 3B career numbers.
Jim Thome - no, though I like him. A bit too one dimensional and was never considered one of the elites during his prime
Mike Mussina - no if he retired today. I think he will need to get to 250 wins to have a shot. Again, a good pitcher but never considered in the same sentence as Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, Roger Clemens or others from his era.
Fred McGriff - doubtful. Like Thome was just never considered one of the elites - to be in the Hall you should be considered one of the best players in your era, not simply a very good one.
Juan Gonzales - no, did not have enough great years. A lot like Dale Murphy
Curt Schilling - career had slow start so his career wins may be low, but I think he will - especially if he hits 250 wins. Was a legitimate ace, including the post-season, for several years. I am not a huge fan of his, but will have to give him his due.
Omar Vizquel - doubtful. Very comparable to Ozzie Smith, but without the flare or championships. Had he played in a different era, but he will be compared to Jeter, ARod (before his move to 3rd), etc and isn't in that league.
Mike Piazza - absolutely - possibly the best hitting catcher of all-time; clearly the dominant catcher (along with I Rod) of his era
Jeff Bagwell - tough one, especially after already commenting on Thome and McGriff. Was Bagwell considered better than them - maybe or maybe not. But I think this is where being on one team for your whole career and establishing more of an identity will help. I will say Yes
Randy Johnson - absolutely; a no brainer
Edgar Martinez - no; a good player, but not great - never dominant for his era
Other active players who will make the Hall (10 year veterans or more, not going to speculate on younger players)
Shoe Ins
Clemens, Maddux, Jeter, ARod, Griffey, Bonds, Glavine, Sosa, Ivan Rodriguez, V. Guerrero,
Probablies
Biggio, M. Rivera, Pedro Martinez, Smoltz, M. Ramirez
Maybies
T. Hoffman,
Good careers, but not great enough for the Hall
Edmonds, B. Wagner, Ortiz (as of now - this could change), A. Jones, Alou, Delgado, Garciaparra, Kent, J. Giambi, Damon,
Undoubtedly there are plenty I am forgetting. I love this question!
