1.) Margaret Peterson Haddix- the Shadow series (very interesting)
2.)Lois Duncan- Down a Dark Hall, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Stranger With My Face, (and the best one's) Locked in Time, and The Third Eye.
3.) Stephanie Meyers- Twilight and New Moon

Nancy Butcher- Beauty (kind of slow, but very good)

J.K. Rowling, and John Flanagan. Rowling (obviously) wrote Harry Potter, and John Flanagan wrote the Ranger's Apprentice Series.

I'd say Stephanie Meyers. She was the author of New Moon and Twlight. If you've read those books you'll know that they are truly great. I hope that some of the Twlight readers agree with me. : )
