They are now beginning to receive their just due. However, it all boils down to racism, or the fact that poor people, and the behind-the-scenes people never ever get the credit they are due. Nicholas Tesla, for example, never got his due, the credit he earned for his inventions (Thomas Edison got all the credit) because he was behind-the-scenes. It's not just people of color, it's all poor and working people.
