It's probably the toughest division in all of baseball, but I'd have to say that Cleveland will run away with the division, but the Tigers will be right there with them, and enter the playoffs as the Wild Card team.
The Indians, (as well as they are doing) are underperforming in a few ways. Third base was an issue for them this season, until Blake filled in and has been ripping the ball, and Hafner is defnitely not doing what he should be doing at this point in the season. Sizemore is striking out a bit too much, but he's still doing what he needs to do. Barfield needs to start hitting the ball...most of Grady's homeruns have come with just one or nobody on base...Barfield needs to get on more.
I don't think the Twins have what it takes to make it all the way. They have great talent in guys like Mauer, Morneau, Cuddyer, Hunter and of course Santana...but that's pretty much it when you think about it. They have a handful of decent players left to fill the roster and rotation. The Tigers and Indians are too good.
I see the tribe winning the division, and by the end of the season Sabathia will have 20+ wins and he will win the Cy Young Award. Sizemore will be deserving of MVP, but won't get it because A-Rod already has the numbers at this point in the season, ha ha.

The Royals!!!! Technically we're still not out of the race. Back to reality, though. I think the Tigers take the Central by 3 games over the Indians. The Twins can't seem to stay healthy this year and when things start to click for them something goes wrong soon after. You mentioned the Tigers bullpen has been shaky, but I don't think that will last all season. Plus they have enough offense to save their bullpen from a few bad innings. The Indians are good (not great) all the way around - hitting, pitching, baserunning. I've got ot give the edge to the more experienced team in Detroit but I do think that the Indians will take the Wild Card this season.
On a side note - The Royals won't finish in last place for the 1st time in 4 years. GO ROYALS!!!

Im hoping the Indians will take the division, but Im thinking the Tigers do. The Indians play strong against Division opponents, but the Tigers dont seem to lose. I like the Tribe's chances, but when the Tigers get Zumaya back, expect an even better Tigers Bullpen.
I really hate the Twins with a passion though. Apparently its OK to just play .500 ball for the first half, then kick it into overdrive the second half, and theres nothing anybody can do about it. Why dont they man up and play THE WHOLE season? Do they think theyre too good for the MLB? Screw the Twins!
GO TRIBE! GRADY SIZEMORE 2007 AL MVP, 2007 WORLD SERIES MVP!

It will be battle between the Indians and Tigers for the division.
The Twins owe that 21-1 run they went on to them winning the division last year.
I don't see them going on that type of run this year without Liriano and their current pitching staff.
After last night's come from behind win my faith in the Tribe get's stronger and stronger as the season wears on.

The wildcard will definetly come out fo the AL central. These 3 teams are too strong for the yankees to be able to overcome them. The only problem is these 3 teams have to beat on each other several more times before the season is out. Detroit's offense is just too good to keep them out of the postseason. If they can find some relief pitchers nobody will be able to touch them as they have the best starting 5 pitchers in baseball (plus they have 2 other awesome starters that arent even starters anymore in durbin and minor). Minnesota is too inconsistent this year. I'm going with detroit as division champs and cleveland as wildcard.

Definitely the tigers because They are the best team out there i think Todd Jones needs to work on his pitching. rodney needs to get out of there because he gives the other team about 10 runs every inning.
