I have 40" hips and a 24" waist which is practically a 20" difference! Anywho, I can't wear low rise jeans because my butt is too big. Higher waisted jeans are horrible because my waist is too small and it gets really baggy. I'm a size 0 according to my waist, but my hips are a size 12 in pants. Please help me! And what about skirts? My skirts go up in the back because of too much butt.
I no longer wear jeans because none of them ever fit me; and then I started do extreme workouts to tone my butt/legs a little more and now, I think that my butt ahs gotten bigger ~.~

I thought I was the only woman in this situation!
25 waist and 40 hips. I'm living in Tokyo right now so comparatively speaking I am SUPER WIDE LOL!!!
I agree with the pilates and yoga 100%, but know that curves are beautiful - work with them, don't fight them. My husband loves them, bless his lean soul, and I am incredibly attached to them (pun intended).
For jeans try JLo Stretch Onyx Brazilian Jeans or Chico's Platinum Marquis jeans. Avoid pockets on the butt and celebrate your hiney!
Good luck my hippie sista!

Lucky! I would kill to have curves like that. My hips are fairly wide, but my waist to hip ratio is considerably smaller so I look like a rectangle if I'm not careful.
I can't help you with the jeans, but I might be able to help with the skirts. I've found that with my butt, I absolutely can NOT wear short skirts (it's just not worth the worry) so I like to wear those crinkly peasant skirts; any length is fine, but I wouldn't recommend going more than an inch above the knee. What I used to do (before gaining way too much weight) is wear the skirt just below the bellybutton to show off my hips, and pair it with a cute top that just barely meets the waistband.

A-shaped skirts reaching just below the knee should suit you. Never wear clingy or tight ones as these will bring out your hips. In winter you can opt to wear them with knee high boots which will disguise thick legs and look great. As for pants (jeans too) opt for straight leg cuts and wear longish tops at least tops which will go down to the hip line. Many boutiques and department stores should stock these items. you can also have jeans tailor made for you. I believe there are some brands that do that. Visit www.makeyourownjeans.com. Levi's too offer a vast range.

Find straight leg pants without clean back lines, No big patch pockets, which will exagerate your booty. Buy clothes to fit the hips and have them altered or do it yourself. Skirts can have the hems changed so they hang straight.
Yoga and Pilates and ballet are very good exercises for lengthening muscles, you don't need to bulk up what you already have but stretch them out

For curvy women like you, wear flared jeans, they make your waist look a little bigger and your hips a little smaller. For skirts, wear a flowy skirt.

i was told to wear belt on the jean so it make ur bottem look smaller. So buy jeans that can have a huge belt loop so it distracts the bigness of ur booty.. pls dont put a belt on ur stomach b/c that will mak you look even more skinner. this will work

personally yeah thats too big for my tastes, but thats just me. What i like others may not and what I don't like others may like. I like small petite athletic girls. Tennis/soccer types. But Im 6'8 280 put together like a linebacker, not all girls dig that size either, if you like her don't worry about it, the complete package makes the girl not the figure.

No idea about the clothes
But try a different workout
Yoga and Pilates will slim and tone your legs and hips
It's what dancers take, and you've seen how nonexistent their legs, hips, and butts are.
You don't have to get rid of them completely, but it might help you fit more nicely into a skirt or a pair of jeans
