Nominate Obama or Hillary and you'll find out just how many Republican voters there are.

My guess would be around 55% of the voters.

Those that are republican and have power are not the same type of republican we had had in the past. I am not sure what that may tell you, but the republicans we see in office today won't be there after November 2008. I do not side with party politics because if you get to the "rat killing" there is very little difference between the democrats and republicans. Those that aspire to party politics are "touched" (and I am NOT kidding). In fact those that refuse to do research on the candidates should not be allowed to vote!!!

There is good and bad in both parties. I will never vote a straight party ticket because I don't want someone else doing my thinking for me. I have already decided to vote for my US Senator next year who is a Republican because he listens to his constituency and votes accordingly. There are crooks in the Democratic party as well, and you can know for certain that I am in my right mind. If the Democrats sweep Congress and the White House next year, in a few years people will be asking the same question you are asking above except substitute democrat for republican.

Your question shows your lack of understanding about the current US campaign. Both parties have a wide spectrum of politicians from extreme liberalism to extreme conservatism. Most are various degrees of moderates. Lumping all politicos of a party into a statement such as yours is just plain incorrect. They are not all the same. They do not all follow their parties beliefs/policies without question. Furthermore, if you bothered to look into the history of the two parties (and what they originally stood for), you would see the current parties have moved far from their foundations and are in fact more alike than you think.

That said, I am a conservative - not a republican. I have voted for both major moronic parties as well as 3rd party candidates. I vote for the person and what they stand for - not for the party.

But you go ahead and blindly vote for only one party. Be a sheeple - it seems a lot of American voters are just that. Watching the pathetic media and making important decisions based upon often vague soundbites or news headlines.

That is a good question but if you vote for Billary you will be getting more of the same. Actually if you vote for Billary, Obama or Edwards --- Giuliani, romney, mccain thompson more of the same

I wouldn't vote rep or dem they both suck so bad right now. And most mainstream dems are behind the CFR and NAU that bush has been pushing for. Nor will they change the direction of this country. they are all globalists.

I am voting for ROn Paul. He is on teh Rep Ticket but he is really a libertarian.

Libertarians are the best. You should look it up.

THanks my friend!

Republicans sure aren't perfect but the Democrats will still sell us out to the owners of the Federal Reserve. Sometimes I still wonder why Democratic party supporters can still believe the malarkey that the liberals are the "party of the people" when they still support the privately owned monopolization of U.S. monetary policy by the owners of the Federal Reserve.

Most answerers are going to be very partisan, but take heart that there are those of us that vote on issues and a persons voting record. "Blind loyalty to a party is still blindness." Though R.Paul may be the closest thing to true conservatism and the Constitution (he's the only one that gets States Rights), He scares too many people and he will never be anointed by the world elite. Bummer.....

No disagreement Sketch. However, this is America the land of the free and the uninformed. Don't be surprised if the next elelction for President is won by less than 1% of the vote.

Because we have to listen to liberals like you who throw out the same old, tired mantra of how bad things are for our country and you give absolutely no facts (READ: Opinions don't count) to back it up. Once the Democrats can show that they can do something other than griping, whining, moaning and complaining, then maybe we'll start taking them seriously. Liberals give excuses. Republicans give results.
