I need a small stone (nickel sized) from as many places in the world as possible. My son is getting a really good history/geography lesson from each one he gets from people we know who travel. If anyone who travels would send me one

The first thing people would need to know is your address but do you really want a bunch of strangers knowing your address?
If I were you I'd contact the local universities and/or natural museums and see if they can help you. I know my department at college put together 'rock kits' for the intro classes and we always had extras and extra samples.
There are also websites which might have samples of special rocks.
