The top 5 PF/C in the NBA
1- Tim Duncan SAS
I hate the Spurs, with all my heart i hate them. But Tim Duncan is a beast. He has the rings and MVP's to prove it. He gets this number 1 spot out of respect.
2- Kevin Garnett MIN
If he had been in Tim Duncan's shoes he would have had as many championships and even more MVP's. He suffers because he is in such a bad system. When you put up 20 and 10 every year for a decade, you can't be lower than spot no. 2.
3- Dirk Nowitzki DAL
The 7 foot German was the first real evolved player in the NBA. At 7 foot he has the power and height of a low post player, but German engineering has given him one of the sweetest J's in the league. Beware he has been known to come up short in the playoffs. Oh... wait... what's that you say Dirk.... sorry I can't understand you... it sounds like you're choking.
4- Dwight Howard ORL
Does anybody remeber that TV show Manimal. That's what Dwight Howard is, half beast-half man. And that man half has character and personality. He is the new Center of the NBA. He is a hybrid of Shaq and Hakeem. Dwight Howard is getting a lot of attention, but not nearly as much as he deserves. How did he not win the slam dunk contest this year?
as of Thursday night at 8:05 EST/5:05 PST
5- Greg Oden PRT
That just happened. I put an untested rookie in the top 5. That's how high I am on Greg Oden. Just check the cover of ESPN where Oden is explaining his NBA goal, "I want a bunch of championships -- like 15." That is some serious blingage. Even if he was half joking, half of 15 is 7.5, more than anybody in the NBA (Not yet Horry). I would trade any other PF or C not on this list for Greg Oden, that includes Stoudemire, Okafor, Yao (barely) and Wallace.
ALL TIME
1- Wilt Chamberlain
He is something else. The man scored at will over any- and everyone. He inspired more rule changes than any other player in league history, he was that dominant.
2- Bill Russell
11 championships. 'nough said.
3- Kareem (The Real Dream) Abdul-Jabbar
Scoring Rcords, MVP's, Rings, what else could you ask for?
4- Larry Bird
He was a gamer. He could score like it was nobody's business. Larry changed the way people looked at PF's. He was a new prototype of player. He walked away woth 3 MVP trophy's, and 3 rings. Imagine what he could have done if it wasn't for Magic.
and finally... GREG ODEN... just kidding
5- Tim Duncan SAS
Duncan has more rings than Hakeem, Willis Reed, and Charles Barkley... combined. He has one more MVP than Shaq, and he didn't have Kobe or D-Wade. Respect.

1. Tim Duncan- While I really think the Big Fundamental should play center, he is still one of the best in the game. The Spurs funnel all their defense to him so he can get the big stop. He can carry his team to the Finals when necessary, and is great at dishing it out to the perimeter when hes double teamed. He can put up triple doubles like its no big problem and he can whine with the best of them.
2. Kevin Garnett- For a 7 footer, Garnett is one of the most well rounded players Ive ever seen, and at his size, his athleticism is unmatched. He can score, he can block, he can rebound, he can pass, although hes not a player who can carry his team deep into the playoffs like Tim Duncan.
3. Amare Stoudemire- While he may need a great player like Steve Nash in order to be most effective, Amare is an All NBA player by himself. He can use his size and strength to out muscle anybody to a rebound, and his throwdowns can humble anybody. He can be trusted to come up big at both ends of the floor, and the best part about him is hes only 25.
4. Yao Ming- Ive actually been very underwhelmed by Yao Ming his entire career, because at 7 foot 6, he should be dominating every single game he plays. This guy should be averaging 25 ppg, 13 rpg, and at least 5 blocks pergame. While he is great, I think he could be alot better. His shooting needs some work, and he needs to be more agressive to truly be a force.
5. Greg Oden- I am so excited about this guy. I watched as many of his games as I could while he was at Ohio State, and what I saw amazed me. The second he stepped on to the court, the entire game changed. When I discovered he was doing all that with a broken wrist, I almost fainted. Greg Oden is the real deal. The one thing that stood out to me was that in the National Championship game, Joakim Noah, Al Horford, and Chris Richard still couldnt contain Oden, and 2 of those 3 guys are projected top 10 picks. His post game is great, his hookshot is silky smooth, and his defensive post dominance is unmatched. I cannot wait until next season. Tell all the NBA Superstars to watch out, because they are going to get denied by Greg Oden at least once.
