I just wanna know if there is anyone like me who think that Snape is good?
I think that because even though he hates Harry there is a lot of times when he shows he's good, like the time in book 4 when the minister didn't belive Voldamort is bake he showed him the dead eater scar on his hand i mean if he is trealy bad he wouldn't do that, and in the sixth book when Dumbledore says please i think he meant please kill me because Snape seemed like he wouldn't do it.
And i think Dumbledore wanted to be killed so Harry can have more hatred for Voldamort so he can kill him.
What do you think?

Yea I now think Snape is good... I think he only hates Harry because he hated James. But I dont think Dumbledore wanted to die to make Harry have more hatred towards Voldemort... but Dumbledore wasnt afraid either... he wasnt afraid of death... Dumbledore knew that Malfoy was supposed to kill him but he also knew Malfoy couldn't... I think him and Snape made a plan so that it would look like Snape was on Voldemort's side but he's really on Dumbledore's side... get wat I mean?

It is possible that Snape is good. We'll never really know until the 21st (can't wait!) Anyhow, it is possible that Snape was a doublesided spy- spying for both sides. Perhaps Dumbledore told Snape to kill him, maye by "Severus, please" he meant please, you do the job, and help Draco. Yes, i definately believe Draco can be good.Back to Snape tho, now that Dumbledore is dead, Voldemort is in a sense of security, but then when he least expects it, the Order will come down on him- HARD! Anyhow, I'm not sure about Snape. It could go both ways though. Maybe Pettighrew will be redeemed though- NOT!

I think it's hard to say one way or the other, to be perfectly honest.

On the one hand you have the fact that Rowling has played "Let's lead the reader on about a certain character only to show later their not what they seem." And it's something I think she does very well when she wants to play that game. Look at Quirrell in the first book. He seemed so nervous, so afraid of his own shadow, a weak, timid man who could have easily run the other way when confronted by any serious threat. Yet it was all an act as he was working for Voldemort. Then look at Sirius, an innocent man yet he was written to be seen throughout most of the third book as the wizarding world saw him. A loyal follower of Voldemort, the man to blame for the Potters deaths, and a madman. She's certainly written Snape to be someone to be hated, but that could well be intentional misdirection on her part. Something to have us be stunned by the revelation.

At the same time, she has written him as someone to be hated, just as she has Voldemort. He could very easily be such. Some of his actions seem to suggest he is someone you can't trust. And why did he really betray Voldemort to become a spy, was it because he was captured by Dumbledore and feared Voldemort would try to kill him in captivity, or that Dumbledore might do something even worse? His showing Fudge the mark on his arm could just as easily have been to scare Fudge, something he'd want to do if he weren't good, as it could to prove the return of Voldemort and have Fudge start preparing the wizarding world.

Snape IS good...I know there is much speculation about which side Snape is in....I am re-reading all 6 books while waiting for the 7th one to come out and I have found several pieces of foreshadowing that Rowling has introduced, which at the time may not have meant much but with the knowledge acquired with the following books might make sense....while reading book 4, Goblet of Fire, in the scene where Lord Voldemort regains his body and his power, he is talking to the Death Eaters who have answered the call...at the time we know there were 3 "ex" Death Eaters at Hogwarts: Snape, Karkaroff and Crouch Jr....at some point Voldemort says that six of his followers are missing, 3 who are in Azkaban, one who is too cowardly to come back (probably Karkaroff, who in OOTP is said to have been found dead), one who has definitely left his side (this could be Snape) and one who is still his faithful servant (obviously Crouch Jr.)...

I say he is bad, but for his own side. He has played both sides for reasons yet unknown. He will show his true side in book 7. Something tells me that he will die, but before, he will do things that at his dead, he will look like he sacrificed himself.
