WHY WHAT CAUSE IST INTERNAL OR EXTERnAL?

heh heh... bananas...

well, you see, once bananas ripen (become yellow and in their young prime) they start to deteriorate; literally, they start to age (like us!). it's because bananas (and a bunch of other fruit... but especially bananas) "fart" a lot (okay, by "fart" i mean that they secrete a volatile hormone in gas form that is similar in structure to methane, the thing that WE release when we... yeahh...).

So anyway, this gas that bananas release is a hormone (called "ethylene"), and when it's released, it induces the bananas to age... if it's a green banana that's exposed to this stuff (ethylene...), then that's awesome! (that's make it ripen faster and grow yellow and such) --- If it's an already ripe banana that is exposed to ethylene, then you're screwed... unless you like black bananas (okay, so it won't change instantly or anything, but you've seen it. a couple of days. maybe a week. yeah.) Remember though, bananas (and other fruits and plants *most fruit-plants and others release this stuff*) are CONSTANTLY being exposed to to ethylene. Just for some reason bananas seem to release a relatively higher amount of it, so they age too fast ((FOOD TIP:: if you want a fruit to ripen, put it in a bowl with other fruits *especially bananas*. it will ripen faster from the extra ethylene *again, ripen just means age, so if it's young and hard, aging will make it young and ripe... and so on...*))

OKAY, so... humans.. we have our own hormones too, man. so yeah, we definitely can "grow up too fast". for example... no matter how young a little kid is (let's say 7 and 3 months with 5 days and... uhh... 6 minutes), if the kid starts taking steroids, he (she?) is gonna become HUGE (assuming he/she works enough), and will start getting facial hair and a deeper voice, and of course losing head hair. This is an example of overly fast growth in ONE direction. here's another: a little girls starts taking estrogen (basicaly could result in a 8-year-old with boobs, big hips, and some other curves here and there.. heh... pediphile paradise, i suppose *bastards*). -------increased ESTROGEN - woman characteristics grow faster -------- increased TESTOSTERONE - male characteristics grow faster ----------------------and the list goes one --------- calcitonin - makes bones grow ----------- growth hormone - makes you.... grow... (heh... idk bout the details on this one.. but midgets *not to offend anyone* and giants *..meh..* have abnormal levels of this stuff, therefore they... well, yeah...) ------------

Oh, and as for internal or external cause... it can be either. remember, bananas can ripen from the ethylene it produces itself, but it (like any other fruit) can also ripen faster if more ethylene (from say, a fruit bowl) is present in the environment

idk if there are any hormones in the environment that can cause abnormal growh in humans (there are pheromones, but that's a different couple hundred paragraphs of explanation), but i guess you can count the animal steroids from the meat and milk and stuff... that kinda affects us (steroids are steroids, after all). also it all depends on what you consume (your body needs calcium, not just for bones. if you stop taking that, you're dead *your bones get broken down and your body takes the calcium from them and uses that for other stuff... takes a while though, i guess...*)

finally, "over ripen".... i guess so, if you mean get so old that it doesn't work anymore *like... old people!*

to sum up, "yes, and yes, in a relative sense, of course... because of both internal and external stuff"

Sorry, man. I tried to keep it as short as possible (there really is a LOT more to explain and a lot i don't know as well...). Hope this helps. Oh, and if you asked cause you're looking for a way to slow the process of "over ripening" or something like that, then just follow the cheesy "healthy living" guidelines. then you don't have to think about the long, tedious, complex, boring, soporific, nightmarish interactions that take place in your body every day... -- if you asked just cause you were just curious, then... give the fruit bowl thing a try. it's awesome

Well I think so,maybe not "ripen",but external or environmental reasons(and of course medical).Life passes so fast for all but more for others.Example I'm a 35 year old female with Multiple Sclerosis...My children especially my oldest is well beyond her 16 yrs because she has taken care of me for over 2 years now.She has had to take over many of the household duties. It has made her grow up mentally.

(lay off the caps!!!) To my knowledge you can. I've heard of "Growing pains" like the show *groans* but I think that when your hormones are over-active and you get taller than you should for your age your joints hurt because it's too much at once. There might be other stuff too, I'm no doctor, but you could give it a try. (hope this helps)
As for "over ripening" the only cure for that is showering.

Well humans don't actually ripen like a banana. We age. Some people have hormonal imbalances that can cause them to grow too fast or parts of them to grow too fast. Also, increased growth hormones in meat and dairy have been accused of causing earlier puberty in girls and boys now.
