Suppose you needed to buy toys for an infant, a 1-3 yr old, 4-5 yr old, and a 6-8 yr old. What would be 2 toys you'd buy for each group and Why?
The only one that i could think that would be for the correct age is 1-3 yr old, and that would be elmo.. but other than that i'm not sure. Any suggestions would help, thank you. :-D

1-3 year old - anything Teletubbies or Barney or Sesame Street
4-5 year old - anything Little Einsteins or Rescue Heroes
6-8 year old - The kids will be a little more inclined to stuff geared to their gender in this age group. So, go with Disney Princess or Barbie for girls. Hot Wheels or Star Wars for boys.
Good luck.

I'm partial to learning toys... I love the Leapad series.. I have an almost 1 yr. old/ almost 3 yr. old.. .So, when we were buying for the 3 yr. old we get him toys we can add on to for the 1 yr. old....
For example: When my 3 yr. old turned one we bought him a Babyleap Pad... and some of the software. .He loves it and although he's 3 he still likes to play with it- So, does his 1 yr. old brother so we keep adding on....
This yr. for the 3 yr. old we got him the next step MY FIRST LEAPAD and some software... and we'll do the same..
My children also love Doodlepad toys.. they work with water so there's no mess !!!
My boys also love anything having to do with cars..Just make sure if all the ages are in one house that the toys don't have small parts for the little guys to choke on.... That's a big one !
Good luck and check out e-bay for leapad things .....

Go to Wal-Mart, get each child a bike, probably 16" for the older two and a 12" for the younger. Then get them each a learning game system, with a game, like Leapster Lmax or V-smile. You could get the 6 year old a race set or any kind of trucks/cars/planes. The 5 year old, they like Barbies, Little Pet Shop, Bratz, etc. The 3 year old, train set would be neat. Then get a few board games. There's alot you can get these kids with $600 to make their Christmas magical. Good Luck & God Bless!

On Toys R Us and Amazon you can shop by age group - this has saved me many a time as my children are grown and gone and I sure don't remember that stuff anymore, not to mention the toys change from year to year!
