there is a website.... evite.com and you can make invitations on there and email them, or print them.....and the people can RSVP online so that whenever someone who is invited goes on the website they can see who all is coming to the party.

If by chance you have Microsoft Works on your computer there should be invitation templates already in your software.
I know you don't want to download anything, but Microsoft.com also has free invitation templates that you can customize to your liking and at least Microsoft is a trusted source.
Combine that with free clip art from Microsoft media gallery and you can make some reasonably nice invitations.

It costs nothing to speak so why dont you just spread the word instead. Otherwise my dear, you will have to spend money, it is inevitable, even if you do it yourself at home on your computer- it will still cost you something. Sorry! But hey side idea- have you asked a local invitation company if you can get a discount if you advertise for them? like include a side note somewhere thanking such and such company for providing the invitations or whatever? Or have something posted at your reception saying it? free advertisement sometimes draws donations. However, with it being a wedding and all, i personally think it wouldn't be appropriate, but who knows!

What kind of invitations? You can use evite to email invitations to people for free.
For invitations that you want to mail, you can create those in MicroSoft Word or Power Point to print off, or you can buy ready made invitations at the store.
What is your project? Post with more specific info about what you are inviting people to and how you want the invitations to look or send me a message with the details and I can help you better.

Vistaprint.com is a very reliable site. Now it will not be for free. You can get up to a certain number free, but usually that is not enough. Any way...they have great low prices and you can choose the design, layout, colors, everything for the same price. I use it all the time. Works for me!!! Have fun.

You might be able to find some invitation templates online and then just use Microsoft Word to edit and print them.
