I slept on my stomach until i was about 5 months pregnant just fine. Then it started to become uncomfortable, so i stopped. It is perfectly fine as long as it is not hurting your stomach at all. After it became uncomfortable, i would lay on my side. The only way i could fall asleep was on my stomach so i would lay on my side but put my arms down like i was laying on my stomach, so i was kind of twisted. It never bothered me and my son is just fine!

Yes its perfectly safe to sleep on your stomach, back, left side, right side, however you are comfortable.
You will not squish the baby, deplete it of oxygen, or ruin your internal organs. Thats all nonsense.
I am an avid back sleeper, and asked many many professionals when I was pregnant, and since. If you're comfortable so is baby. If the baby is without oxygen because you've pinched the aorta, you legs will fall asleep and you'll move because of it. Problem solved.
Dont let people scare you into thinking you're going to endanger your unborn by sleeping.

If you don't have a belly it's fine. Of course we all know, after 4 or 5 months sleeping your stomach is completely out of the ????.

I slept on my stomach for the first five months of my pregnancy, once I got to six months my tummy was too big and it was quite uncomfortable. Check with your doctor to make sure though. My Ob/GYN said if was ok as long as I didn't have any trouble breathing.

well the further along u get its not ok. id say quit sleeping on your stomache by around the 4th or 5th month. sooner to be safe but definatly at least by then. they recommend sleeping on your left side. fi you sleep on your back it can cut off the babys blood/oxygen supply from the placenta

While it's best to sleep on your left side, it's ok to sleep on your belly until you're really starting to pop out (and you risk damaging the comfortable environment for your baby). This usually happens around the time when it stops being comfortable too luckily. :)

It is best to sleep on your left side. Left-lateral recumbent to be exact. Belly sleeping is unbelievably uncomfortable the further you get along. If you sleep on your left side there is no chance of compressing the vena cava that carries blood to the placenta as there may be with sleeping on belly or right side.

Of course it is as long as you feel you can take it. When you start gaining weight believe me, it will be over for the stomach for a while, so enjoy it while you can.
Congratulations and good luck

It's ok, until your belly gets too big. At that point, it will be too uncomfortable to do anyways. The first 3 months of pregnancy, the uterus is safely hidden behind the pelvic bone.
