limewire particularly, if i get the pro version, should i be scared of getting viruses that come along with the songs?

There is always that chance (yes, even on a Mac). There are not near as many viruses for Mac systems as there are for Windows systems though...but you still have to be careful. As long as you download only MP3s, you are pretty safe.

yup, Unless you are VERY aware of what is going on a lot of hackers like to play on limewire. The pro version won't stop that. You have to be aware of what you are doing and the size of the files and such. You are taking a risk going to sites that post illegally. You should also be aware that people who are downloading music there are being found and made to pay for the downloading they have done. They link it with your ISP. Just so you know.

Yeah, it's possible to get viruses even if you have a macbook, but the risk is not as great as when having Windows. A form of malware that doesnt exist in the Macintosh world is worms.

Probably not.

Mac OSX is based on Unix BSD, which is a pretty rock solid system. At last count there were maybe two, ineffective malwarz written for Mac, and you had to actually load them yourself, they couldn't sneak in.
