An ACT score of 30 is great. The average is in the low 20's, with a respectable score of 26 - 28. Your score is good. It really doesn't matter what the individual components are, just your overall.

The SAT score is also good, even though the reading score is lower. The good news is you did very well on the math. Most colleges don't even use the writing score since it is so new.

It really doesn't matter which you use. Colleges use a multitude of criteria in determining college acceptance. You should look at the averages at the university you want to attend and make sure you have the prerequisites.

You should be sure to highlight your extra curricular activities, clubs, memberships and accomplishments as well as your scores. College admission offices are looking for a student who is well rounded and will be successful in college.

Be proud. You did really well on both tests.

a 30 on the ACT and a 1990 on the SAT are basically the exact same score. i would pick what score you send based on which test is more popular in that state. (ie i think the SAT is more popular in the East and the ACT is more popular in the midwest and central states. so if you're applying to UNC for instance, send the SAT. if you're applying to kansas, send the ACT.
(hope this helps more than the other peoples' generic answers. best answer?)

I would send both to colleges because your ACT shows your aptitude for science and your SAT shows your aptitude for writing. I do not think that it would be redundant to send both. They have good points that would help your application.

depends on the school you apply for. however, i'm sure they will look at both tests.
