The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Orange County of California will win the AL West this year. It's suprising how little attention they've received even though they've been the best team in baseball since the beginning of May.
TO THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE EAST OF COLORADO:
However good you might think your team is, they're only second rate.

Don't count out the Mariners! Their line-up is surprisingly potent. ( Third best average in baseball) With Sexson and Beltre both struggling they may be # 1 later if they pick it up. Lets not forget the Angels have a problem with struggling at the end of the season and if the M's keep it close they have a very good shot. Anyone remember '95?

Angels, they have the best team next to the Red Sox.
Athletics will finish 2nd, just about 7 games back of the Halos. They have great pitching, but their offense is shaky.
Mariners are very inconsistent, Weaver what a bust. M's will finish 3rd in the division. Ichiro traded before season's end...
Rangers will be lucking to finish with less than 100 loses.

Angels. Good hitting, they have a lot of speed, some good starting pitchers like Lackey and Weaver, and the best closer in the AL. It helps too that the Mariners are nowhere near playoff readiness and the A's are having a sub par year.

I wouldn't count out the A's yet. Don't get me wrong I think the Angels will win it but the A's always make it interesting during the 2nd half. I don't think the Mariners will be able to do it although with Sexson getting back on track that could change.

Angels, in my opinion. Practically the entire lineup is batting over .300! Combine that with great pitching and you have a recipe for the division title. They could be the best in the AL if they keep this up.

Angels. There lineup is looking good right now. There not hitting homeruns but there getting the job done and there pitching is looking good also. They could be sending a couple of there players to the all star game...
