No problem Iritadragon, keep forgetting the British are here. Next time I will make my question clearer.

Your answer was so funny!

Golden Corral???? I presume that this is cheese, considering you are comparing it to Cracker Barrel, which I KNOW is cheese?!

I follow the reasoning of naming a cheese "Cracker Barrel" because in the days of little all-purpose groceries stores run in small towns, cracker barrels were a mainstay, as well as pickle barrels and huge wheels of cheese.

But why would someone think that "Golden Corral" would be edible? Let alone a brand of cheese? Is this British, or American?

To answer your question, since I know what Cracker Barrel is, and I have actually tasted it--I will put my vote with the others for Cracker Barrel being best. (WHO would WANT to eat Gold Corral?--dead sea creatures skeletal structures--can you imagine??)

Aha! I just saw the answers above me---they are restaurants--another thing I can't afford to step foot in. Oh well, I guess you can now delete my vote for Cracker Barrel, since I have never been in this RESTAURANT (nor the Golden Corral one either).

Excuse me...it's the heat. C-o-r-r-a-l = enclosure for horses. I am SSSSSOOOOOO SORRY!

(But it really IS the heat--the humidex is sitting at about 47 Celsius right now--around about 116 Fahrenheit.)

Golden Corral. I would never set foot in a Cracker Barrel because of their anti-gay, conservative reputation. Actually maybe Golden Corral is the same but they don't promote a hate agenda openly.

By the way I liked the answer by the person who only knew Cracker Barrel as the cheese by that brand name. We don't have Cracker Barrel or Golden Corral restaurants either where I live -- but I grew up in a more rural area so I understood the question.

I like Cracker Barrel best. I really like the breaded chicken tenderloins with hashbrown casserole and baby carrots.

Golden Corral is great when you're really hungry since it is a buffet, but I like the food at CB better. CB has GREAT veggies! Furr's cafeteria is cheaper than GC or CB, but the quality is not as good.
