I WAS having a real good day (as u can see from my last question) and I went over to my parents house for lunch and found a card from the vet saying were sorry for the loss of nikki (my choc. lab) and I knew that card was there for awhile, because I got the mail while they were on vacation. My dad told me before they left not to worry about feeding her because he had someone else doing it..why would he lie to me about my own doggy :( now im being overly emotional because im 22 weeks pregnant. and ive gota go back to work and be in a bad mood for the rest of the day!

they probably knew how emotional you would be and wanted to keep it from hitting you when they weren't there to help. they want whats best for you and their grandchild and might have thought this wouldn't be good for either of you to deal with right now. talk to them and find out what happened.

hello? what parents are going to want to run to their pregnant daughter and tell her that her dog died while they were on vacation. It's devastating, obviously hard for them to do so. Why is your dog at your parents anyway? I would be sad about the loss of my dog, but I would make it a point not to stay mad at my parents for a long time, especially if my dog lived with them.

He probably didn't tell you about it because you are pregnant and he didn't want to upset you. Try to forgive him.
