I think that the credit should go in Jayawardene's way.
Not as Ponting, Mahela has to perform without great players like Ponting has some.
There are many great players in Australian team.
But SL has only a few.
So in my point of ciew, Jayawardene is the best of two.

Jayawardane is far better captain then Ponting. Ponting has alot of great players playing on his team, thats the reason for his sucess, while Jayawardane has had to work for all the sucess he has had as a captian, he has a much better cricketing mind then ponting does.

Mahela Jayawardane of Sri Lanka has te will to keep the team on task. Ricky can't do that. So I think that Jayawardane is batter than Ricky Ponting.

i will say that ricky ponting is the current best captain...ii know he has many good players in his team but captain is the one who keep the seniors and juniors of the team united...and this unity lead to the success of the team...
