Not at all. Representative and Senators have always visited foreign countries and pursued dialogues with foreign leaders. This visit should have been a non-issue, but then, so should most things raised as issues these days.

She was no more out of line than the 3 Republicans who were visiting Syria during the exact same time.

No she was right in line with what her OWN interests and that of most liberals are; the acquisition of power at any cost. She is a traitor who would rather appease terrorists in anyway she can just to make Bush look bad. We are fighting a war on two fronts one at home against cowardly, amoral, liberals and one against radical Islam. I 'm not sure who is worse.

No. Someone brought up the Logan Act,Reagan would have been a good one to use that against. For subverting the powers of the President to get elected.

A little???
She broke the law. Read the Logan Act. Diplomacy is reserved only for the Executive branch and those the President appoints. The President told her, "Don't go."
Diplomacy by a private citizen is considered treason and punishable by fine or three years imprisonment. I wrote to my Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher about this and she refuses to do anything about it.
Senators and Congressmen go on fact finding missions, not to engage in diplomacy unless approved by the President of the United States. That is the law.
Had Newt Gingrich gone and done the same thing during the Billary administration, there would have been hell to pay.

Way to minimize her role. She is number 3 or 4 in line for the Presidency for a reason you know...
Pelosi was well within her role and rights to go there...And thank your lucky stars she did. The mideast desperately needs to know that there are other voices in America besides Bush Co.

No. Congressmen/women do this all the time.
Maybe if Bush would pull his head out of the sand and practice some diplomacy, the world would be a safer place.

There were a bunch of Republicans with her on that trip. Congressmen serve as diplomats all the time.

a little out of line?! She was beyond a little out of line. She basically spat in Bush's face, and his efforts to further stabalize the Middle East. You are right!! We elected them to be lawmakers, not diplomats.
