I was was taught that there was no such thing as a stupid answer. The stupidity lies within those who laugh at others just because they were taught something before the person answering the question. How can you learn if you don't ask. How can you teach if you do not listen. These 10-12 year old people are groing up fast and it is the responsibility of the older generations to teach them how to be good people. If we keep on making restrictions saying "You there. Youre to young go to the kiddy corner while the adaults talk trash" what are we teaching them. It seams like where teaching them that it is all right to talk trash. These people are eager to grow up and they look for us for guidence, we should have the descency to restrain are bad thoughts and teach them by are actions for they learn from what we do far more than what we say. Plus there isn't that much bad stuff on here unless your looking for it and if there looking for it they already know how to find it in other places. This site is suppose to be for education not trash talk. If people wan't to trash talk they should go to a site where that is permisable. No public site is completly safe from trash talk.

I am actually a 12 year old. The problem is, if they answer a question stupidly for points or ask lame questions they are simply wasting their time and everyone Else's online. I think if a 10-12 year old has something worthwhile to contribute to the society then it is OK.
Sincerely,
Carrie

It would be nice if Yahoo had an adults-only answer section, where you could be a little less self-censoring.
But that's probably not practical.
So the "town hall" is filled with little kids. Just like real life!
(I mean, have you seen the kinds of questions politicians get asked at debates? They might as well have been written by 10 year olds.)

Well, if you are referring to those questions that are elementary or worse, I'd like to hope they are all actually 10-12 yr. olds....
But i seem to think that there are also older people who ask questions that a 10-12 yr. old would ask... they're annoying!
If they ask good questions, then i don't mind.

They should be out playing instead of sitting in front of the computer all day.
Unless they are disabled like me and cannot get out of bed.

if they come with reasonable questions and are in the search of more knowledge and wisdom have no problem with them as long as their questions are reasonable and we are not doing their homework.

they don't belong on here at all. I would NEVER let my kids on here. This is a very adult place.
