Actually, with the exception of some fan fiction, no. Some of my fan fiction has been based on a live-action movie and a live-action tv series (in otherwords, not cartoon, all CGI (I'd be stupid to think some of the shows I watch don't use some CGI for effects shots), or claymation/stop motion animation). So naturally in this fan fiction I'm going tosee the actors and actresses who play the roles of the characters. But most of my fan fiction is actually based on video games and cartoons, and there I'm just seeing the characters from the particular game or cartoon universe I'm writing the fic in at the time.
In my regular writing I never see my characters as a famous actor or actress. Their much more regular people, more of a combination of the people I know as what I see as I'm writing goes.

I do occasionally see my characters as famous people (not just actors). I have one character that I see as Vin Diesel, I don't know why I just see Vin whenever I write about this character! But for the most part I see them as people I have met in my life (even just once at the grocery store!). Regular people that I can change and mold into what I think are extraordinary characters. Happy writing!

Yes, from time to time, like you said. Sometimes a character can be inspired by an actor. Actually, the story I'm writing on now, the main character is a tennisstar, and his temper on the field is inspired by Marat Safin, probably also his looks, but mostly his play. hi hi

Yes, sometimes.
If I am describing someone with an amazing personality and very attractive, my character looks like Johnny Depp.
If I am describing someone a little fake but still cute, then I picture Adam Sandler.
And if my character is just PERFECT, he is Matt Demon
And if its a female character who is amazingly pretty, then I don't know how but she looks like Catherine Zeta Johnes.
And if there is a girl (this is very disputable and I have no idea why I think this, where as I know that she has nothing to do with being very smart) who is smart my character looks like Christine Aguilera (AGAIN, I have no idea why my subconcious mind might think she's smart:S:S)

Yes, I try to imagine who would play my character if my novel was made into a movie.
More often, though, i'll grab a magazine and cut out pics of regular people to use as inspiration for my characters because the best stories are about real people we can relate to. Not celebrities.

Once in awhile, but not usually. However, I do this a lot when I read a book!

All the time. I have to picture them or they aren't real to me and if they aren't real to me, they won't be real to the reader.
