Your grandson might be a very lucky boy. Explain to him that these people can not harm him, and they are only there, because they haven't found their peace on earth yet. Its probably a very difficult thing to talk to a nine year old about, but things happen, and if you just start explain why people are on this earth that are not alive he might understand. Its very creepy, but I have gone through the same situation. Some people may not believe in these things, and don't make him feel like he's nuts. Just explain some people can't see and hear them, and its alright that he does.

Like its no big deal. Don't make him feel as if he is doing something wrong, because he's not. I've been seeing the dead since I was a very young child and it is not something to be afraid of. They are just spirits that have yet to cross over.

Ask your son how he feels when he sees them. Is he scared? If he is, make sure he knows it is of no fault of his. Usually if you ask them if there is something you can help them with they will fade away..... I don't know why but this is what has always happened to me.

Bottom line, if you are freaked out about it then you will freak him out, which is what could cause lasting harm and damage.

I believe that children have a way of just seeing the spirits of the passed. It's actually pretty normal, my little cousins used to tell me how they saw spirits in this house that they used to live in. Now, I don't think that spirits try to harm people. But if your grandson is getting scared, maybe you could try to get rid of the spirit. My grandma had to eventually wave her herbs around the house to "calm the spirit". It's an indian thing. That's all I could recommend.

Very interesting. Was he able to describe the dead person accurately? Or did he maybe see some old portraits and put 2 and 2 together? What are his interests? Does he watch alot of scary movies? He could just be messing with you, but if you feel that this is really a 'talent', find a specialist to talk to.

Hi,Im Muslim, and we beleive in Jinns, they were created from fire, and as you know humans from clay,Jinns are a race of beings with free will just like human beings, but more power-they can take any form they like, one of the things they are famous for doing is taking on the shape of peoples dead relatives, and religious Icons (Jesus Mary etc),in doing this they lead people astray-they also will talk at times having bits of information that it seems only that relative could have known-they lead people astray like this-there is nothing wrong with your boy, some people are just more suceptible to seeing Jinns,I seen some things until I was like 15 or 16, and then nothing thereafer (Im 27 now).Tell him if sees this type of thing again be sure not to talk to it and NOT to listen to it,for they spread lies a falsehood, they know some truths as well, but they try to lead people astray-when we see anything bothersome we say A'uthu billahi minash shaytaanir rajeem-which means I seek refuge with God from Satan the accursed enemy,as the Jinn who bother people are usually the bad ones from Satans army-Good Luck!

This is not an answer to your question, I just wanted to make a statement. My son, 17 months old, has never met his dads father. On some occasions (since he has been able to talk) he says his grandfathers name. My husband and I rarely talk about his dad and when we do, its usually in our own private conversations. We usually never use his fathers name in reference, usually its either dad or grandpa. In saying that, I truly believe that children can see spirits and can even speak with them (which I believe is the case with my son). I believe Otto, my husbands father, comes and plays with our son and has conversations with him and that is the reason my son can walk up to his dad and I and say "Otto" clear as a bell.

Wow, that's freaky. I guess there's some spiritual remnant there that's he's able to tune into. Talk to him about it, but don't make it a big, scary deal. Be very matter of fact, see what you can learn. It'll be interesting. He's probably just one of those special kids...like Indigos.

well, if it isn't scaring him, you do nothing - except listen to him if he talks about things he sees. If he is curious about one, feel free to research it with/for him.

They say children are more open to psychic experiences - at this point you can either embrace it, or discourage it - on how you handle what he tells you.

well-they reckon young babies-have E.S.P.- and loose it slowly-as they get older- hence-at nine years-he will still have the esp -for a while yet -you have 2 choices- try to let him home in on his skills-to take them further in life- such as-a medium -or -just wait- it will go with the years.Peace.
