Yesterday my friends and I went to see 1408. I thought it was pretty good- what did you think? and next time we are planning on seeing Evan Almighty-- is it worth seeing?

Oh, yes, without a doubt1408 was the best scary movie this year!! I love scary movies and I loved it. It was unpredictable, suspenseful and very original. (I hadn't read the story but I understand Hollywood changed enough to keep it interesting even for folks that already read the story.)

It's not gory. Some movies depend on blood and guts and gore to get an emotional reaction from the audience. No, not 1408! It scared you with the unknown, the wondering what would happen next but it wasn't gross. But, definitely, I was gasping at parts! I mean, you could almost see people in the audience leaning forward in their seats eager to see what was going to happen next!

John Cusack and Samuel L.Jackson gave excellent performances! And the things that happened, well, at first you're wondering if it's coincidence or truly something evil then things escalate and you're just breathless wondering what's coming next.

I loved it and am recommending it to everyone. One of the best scary movies that I've ever seen! And one that people can discuss afterwards because everyone sees some things differently! I can't wait until it's on DVD!

I saw 1408 and i thought it was one of the scariest movies i had seen! I love scary movies, but the gory ones don't get me... they just gotta have the JUMP parts where you totally don't expect it... and it had the whole "look out!! they're right behind you!!" and "don't go in there dumbass!" moments.. so i liked it... and it had a few laugh out loud moments.. which made it all the better!! and i can't wait to see evan almighty too! i loved bruce and the part where he makes him talk gibberish for ten min straight! lol

Evan Almighty is great. It's much better than Bruce Almighty. In Bruce, Jim Carrey goes crazy at moments and the film is very crude and disgusting. In Evan, Steve Carrel is much more mellow, and the film is not gross. It even packs in an environmental message. I highly reccomend Evan Almighty.

unless your a major christian, and know many stories from the Bible, you wont find Evan Almighty funny. the humor is realted to Biblical times and stories and if you dobnt have a great knowledge of it, the comedy just isnt there.
