Ie.
I was in Smart and Final, shopping for my office. Had a cartload of stuff..waited in line for 10 minutes..
I was next in line, and a cashier tells me he can help me in the next lane.
Two men walk up behind me at that moment and try to cut me, and the cashier tells them I was next. So they got mad at me, saying "Oh nice...help the lady with tons of s**t in her cart first..we got like 3 things!"
Of course I explained to them in a slow nasty voice that I was standing in line for a reason, not for my health..and if I were to wait for everyone with less than me to go through first, I would be there til doomsday.
It just made me sad because I am the type that always makes a point in being polite..I would have even suggested them to go ahead of me, had they not been rude first!

I call the assholes or scream at them

I have a similar story. I was at the supermarket last week in the produce section and was headed for the pears. I was right there when this woman about 50ish stepped in front of me and pushed my cart backwards and proceeded to get her fruit. I flipped. Called her an ignorant ***** who needs to be taught some manners then I followed her around the store the rest of the time I was there and made her shopping experience something to remeber. I have no tolerance for rudeness and have little control over what comes out of my mouth. She's lucky she was twice my age or else I would have also met her out in the parking lot. Ignorant *****!

People are like that..I used to be a cashier and people would get so mad at me for taking the next person in line..even though this person has been in line for much longer than the people behind him/her..you just have to ignore people like that.

I always say things along the lines of "Gosh, I'm sorry you're having such a bad day. I really do hope it gets better for you" or "It's a shame you're such an unhappy person; is there anything I can do to make you feel better about yourself?"

I've found no insult on the planet results in a more priceless look on their face.

I consider myself a very nice and considerate person but I have a very short, dry fuse and the slightest spark will set it off. You definitely have more patience than I do. I probably would've gone off on them. People just like to be rude for some reason nowadays. You're lucky to find someone who will hold a door open for you.

Ah they need some paints and a canvass

people are getting ruder and ruder in this world, you did nothing wrong. I'd pray for them, but that's me. Just know that you did nothing wrong and ignore them or anyone like that. It's not nice what they did, if I was a manager I'd ask them to leave my store and not to come back.

I would say something like " You spoke too soo, I was going to offer you to go ahead of me, but since you were so rude and I have been waiting here for 10 minutes, I guess I'll just have to ignore your rudeness and get on out of here"

Okay, who am I kidding?

I just tell them to go f**k themselves. I don't waste my time on people like that.

I always call them on it and make them look like assholes in front of everyone. It usually makes them feel about two feet tall when they are trying to look cool by being rude.

hm, that is quite rude.. i treat people the way they treat me, but there are certain cases where a person does need kindess every now and then..

i probably would have responded with a witty smart *** comment that would make them shut there mouths for being so disrespectful..
